and the winner is...

we (i) decided to go with the farm. it just offers a lot more fun stuff. i also feel that it is much more personal to both of us with our family farm histories. and tell me that a country farm/hoedown wedding isn't gonna be a hoot! think carmel apples, corn maze, autumnal, hot dish and bars kind of event. so keep friday october 3 open!

Yippie!!! We'll start looking for tickets. Will there be square dancing or line dancing or polka?

That's awesome, but for the sake of argument, I have to ask if these were the only two places you considered? Surely there are more than two places in Denver to get hitched. If you haven't already put money down on the barn, perhaps you should look at a couple more places just to be sure (though it sounds like your mind is made up and I do really like the barn). Just a thought.....

i will admit that i didn't look everywhere i could. i do like the barn because i wanted someplace outside and somewhere close to the house. i did look at a 'wedding locations' book at work but those were mostly hotels with banquet rooms. i think the barn and farmhouse will be loads of fun as well.
i think i chose the barn last fall when we went to the corn maze and i saw that you could have events there.

Good for you! Sometimes the first place is just right, and you know it when you see it. I didn't look anywhere- A proposed, I said yes and then said we could have it at my Dad's Mansion. Done. You are an event planner- we tend to know what we want and make decisions from the gut that are right on. It is also so much easier to plan everything else sometimes when at least one decision is made.
Let me know if I can help.
