This lamp/earring holder has been making the rounds in the blogosphere. I loved the idea and needed some earring storage myself. My lamp came from Target a couple of years ago and does the job just as well. The lampshade was my least favorite aspect about the lamp and I often thought of replacing it. Glad I didn't.
I love it when it turns out you already have something that you didn't realize was especially cool. Mike and I are trying to not buy anything unless we really need it as opposed to want it. That is much more difficult for me as I often see things I
want, but don't need.
