oscar party - UPDATE!

this year's oscar party was much more fun than many previous ones. we had ballots and bingo plus some thumbs up/down cards for rating the clothes. mel also brought her 'oscar' and we had photo ops of us accepting our oscars.

Why Wyoming

Well Mel wanted to see Laramie. After exciting Laramie, we went to Vedauwoo to climb on rocks.




We decided this was our album cover. Very Joshua Tree, no?
Mike is continually amazed by what life has to offer.

The new house

The new house is slowly coming together and I wanted to post some before and after pics.

Sophia Lamp

This lamp/earring holder has been making the rounds in the blogosphere. I loved the idea and needed some earring storage myself. My lamp came from Target a couple of years ago and does the job just as well. The lampshade was my least favorite aspect about the lamp and I often thought of replacing it. Glad I didn't.

I love it when it turns out you already have something that you didn't realize was especially cool. Mike and I are trying to not buy anything unless we really need it as opposed to want it. That is much more difficult for me as I often see things I want, but don't need.
